Dear CUGGers,
We’ll meet this Saturday, July 9, 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm in the Greeley
Senior Center, 1010 6th Street. I think you’ll enjoy what we’ll be doing.
I’ll present the insider’s view of the Internet and its future as expressed
in the 2011 book, “Curation Nation”, by an Internet media professional.
Then I’ll review the month in computers and electronics as I saw
it – no doubt different from anyone else saw it, but full of interesting
happenings. I hope you’ll have some interesting items to add to mine.
Don Wiegel will do his usual fascinating “Gadgets.”
After the break we’ll auction off my Cruz R101 e-Reader. It sells on
Amazon for $100. We’ll start the auction at $50. Check it out. Proceeds will
go towards the purchase of a new projector.
Frank Whiteley will show us live video chat and video conferencing
programs we might use. Frank is becoming an expert on these kinds of
capabilities for possible use at CUGG and at his glider organization. I hope
the flights-to-meetings-in-faraway-cities are being reduced.
Bring your questions and ideas to share.
See you there!
